Images of Finland
A new show of 101 post-
ers spanning the entire 20th
century collected by the
Lahti Poster Museum of Fin-
land gives a broad picture of
sports, tourism, advertising
and education in the coun-
try. Many of the posters are
early advertisements from
well-known Finnish compa-
nies such as Finnair, Nokia,
Fazer and Sinebrychoff. The
exhibition is part of the ju-
bilee year program for the
40th anniversary of diplo-
matic relations between Fin-
land and Vietnam in 2013.
The show is at Can Tho
Exhibition Centre, Can Tho.
All for a cause
A charity flea market
will take place on Decem-
ber 6 in Saigon to raise
funds for disadvantaged
children. Organised by the
Vietnam Women’s Newspa-
per, it will be held at the
Youth Cultural Palace, 4
Pham Ngoc Thanh street,
Ben Nghe district, Ho Chi
Minh City.
