Chevron Vietnam Lim-
ited, marketer of the Caltex
Delo and Havoline brands
of technologically advanced

coolants, has announced a
new consumer competition
to find Vietnam’s hottest-
looking motorcycles. Win-
ners will receive an Apple
iPad Air or a two-year supply
of Caltex Havoline 4T mo-
torcycle engine oil. Starting
from 20 November, contest
participants are invited to
post pictures of their motor-
cycle on the Caltex Vietnam
Facebook page (www.face-
book.com/caltexvn).
Each
week through December
17, 2013, the entry with the
highest number of votes will
be entered to compete in
a special awards ceremony
on December 21, 2013. The
contest award ceremony will
be held at NowZone fashion
mall in Ho Chi Minh City’s
District 1 starting at 9am on
December 21, 2013.
Danang and Hoi An
have both been presented
with Asian Townscape
Awards in Fukuoka, Ja-
pan. The purpose of the
awards is to honour out-
standing townscapes and
urban development in cit-
ies throughout Asia. The
criteria for the award are
a harmonious co-existence
with the regional environ-
ment; safety, convenience
and sustainability; respect
for regional culture and
history; high artistic qual-
ity; contributions to local
development; and the ca-
pability to become a model
for other cities.
Vincom
MegaMall
Times City, an entertain-
ment and shopping cen-
tre, is to open in Hanoi
this Christmas. Located
on Minh Khai street in
the south of the capital, it
will be home to shopping
and special entertainment
services such as Vinpearl
Aquarium Times City and
Platinum Cineplex. The
Aquarium will be the big-
gest in the country and the
first aquarium with a tun-
nel in Hanoi. The shopping
area will gather hundreds
of domestic and interna-
tional brands with more
than 300 stores.
For the kids at
Metropole
On November 28 the
Sofitel Metropole hotel
hosted a charity event
together with Humanitar-
ian Services for Children
of Vietnam, Art Vietnam
Gallery and a range of
sponsors such as Stand-
ard Chartered Bank, Mas-
terCard and Thai Airways.
Children in diffi-
cult circumstances from
Khanh Thuong, Ba Vi,
were treated to a light
display with a 15-metre
pine and over 5,000 glit-
tering lights bringing the
building to life.
The kids were then
given a wonderful Christ-
mas feast and watched a
puppet show before sing-
ing Christmas songs.
Vinmec Internation-
al Clinic launched
The first in a series of
Vinmec International Clinics
has been set up in Hanoi’s
Royal City. The clinic has six
departments: obstetrics and
gynecology; pediatrics; in-
ternal medicine; ENT; den-
tal; and emergency. It has
recruited professional doc-
tors, nurses and technicians.
According to Do Tat Cuong,
director of the clinic, with a
prestigious team of experts,
the clinic aims to supply bet-
ter services to the commu-
nity. “We operate based on a
single principle: your health
is our desire,” said Cuong.
