S. Ting Charity Walk to raise
funds for the poor in Ho
Chi Minh City organized
by the Phu My Hung Joint
Venture Company in asso-
ciation with municipal de-
partments will take place
on January 19. The partici-
pants will walk for a dis-
tance of two kilometers in
The Crescent area, together
with leaders of local au-
thorities, sponsors and the
program ambassador, ac-
tor Quyen Linh. This year’s
event aims to sell 12,000 t-
shirts at VND120,000 each,
as well as cakes, jams and
other foods to raise VND2.5
billion to help the poor.

Spring concert
The Song Hong Band
will perform works by Schu-
bert and Schostakovich at
L’Espace on January 26. The
band has been perform-
ing for three years and all
members were trained at
both the Vietnam Academy
of Music and abroad. They
have performed many con-
certs within Vietnam and
overseas. This time they will
play Schubert’s String Quar-
tet No.12 in C minor and
Schostakovich’s Piano Quin-
tet op.57 in G minor.
