Paris-based Sanofi, a global and diversified healthcare leader, last week opened a new representative office at Geleximco building in Hanoi’s Dong Da district.

With the total area of 450 square metres, the new office provides a comfortable and modern working space for over 50 employees in the capital and northern provinces.

“The new office is one of the important projects of Sanofi in 2013 which aims to expand the company’s business to meet health care needs of people in Hanoi and northern provinces,” said Sanofi Indochina’s general manager Cyril Grandchamp-Desraux, at the new office’s opening ceremony.  “Our ambition is to become the ‘trusted healthcare partner’ in Vietnam.”

Sanofi currently has about 1,200 employees working nationwide. It is the only foreign pharmaceutical company with two WHO-GMP certified manufacturing facilities in Ho Chi Minh City.

Its products have been present in Vietnam since 1962. The company currently provides a rich portfolio of 150 kinds of drugs to the Vietnamese market.

In Vietnam, Sanofi has made remarkable contributions to Vietnamese community development through wide-ranging community-oriented healthcare programmes, most recently providing free testing and consultation to 2,500 diabetics countrywide.
