Vietnam Airlines offers 300,000 promo tickets

Vietnam Airlines on Monday launched the autumn promotion programme 2012 with an estimated 300,000 discounted air tickets on sales with many tickets being marked down by up to 50 per cent for both international and domestic flights.

According to the air carrier, there will be 200,000 promotional tickets for domestic flights and 100,000 for international flights.

Under this program, the one-way airfare of several domestic flights will be sold at VND555,000-999,000.

For example, the one-way airfare from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City to Danang will be VND555,000, while on-way fares from Ho Chi Minh City to Haiphong and Dong Hoi will be VND999,000. This fare also applies to flights from Hanoi to either Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Dalat, Nha Trang, Pleiku, Quy Nhon, and Buon Ma Thuot.

Meanwhile, the return ticket prices of international flights will also be slashed sharply. For instance, return fares for services from Vietnam to Southeast Asian countries will start from VND815,000 only, while the price from Vietnam to European countries will start from nearly VND8.33 million.

The programme will be applicable for individual customers in Vietnam buying tickets on August 15-31 for flights departing from September 5 to December 20 and from March 5 to May 20 next year, excluding peak days and holidays.

In addition to this autumn promotion for retail customers, Vietnam Airlines is already taking part in the travel stimulus program lasting until the year-end with tour operators in HCMC. With this program, dozens of travel firms can buy air tickets with a discount of up to 49 per cent to offer discounted package tours for domestic tourists.
