Toyota suffers second straight output fall in October

Global production, excluding output by its Daihatsu and Hino subsidiaries, dropped 13.6 per cent from a year earlier to 613,169 units, the world's largest carmaker said.
Domestic output fell 22.4 per cent to 237,089 last month on the expiration of government incentives for buyers as sales in Japan plunged 24.7 per cent to 103,672 in the month, Toyota said.
Honda Motor separately said its worldwide production rose 1.4 per cent to 305,406, marking an 11th consecutive year-on-year increase.
Honda's domestic production, however, fell 0.8 per cent, the first decline in 10 months as sales at home dropped 29.2 per cent to 37,745.
Nissan Motor's global output rose 11.6 percent to 363,227 while production at home fell 12.0 per cent to 87,215 as domestic sales fell 24.1 percent to 33,626.
