The Toyota Vietnam Foundation (TVF), in co-operation with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) plans to hold the 17th annual Toyota Concert Tour.

It will run from August 1 to August 11 with events in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and for the first time in Buon Ma Thuot for the occasion of the National Tourism Year of Tay Nguyen province. The Toyota concert event was first held in 1998.

This year’s concert will combine a number of different music genres. The programme was carefully selected from both famous romantic classical concertos and popular modern melodies. Renowned Vietnamese cellist Tran Thi Mo and Japanese maestro Honna Tetsuji are featured artists. Also, singer Tung Duong will join the programme to ensure an unforgettable musical experience.

The music selection includes masterpieces by Tchaikovsky, Glinka, Elgar, Bizet, and Brahms, as well as Vietnamese composers such as Van Cao, Doan Nho, Van Ky and Cam Phong.

The Toyota Concert Tour represents not only Toyota’s efforts to contribute to a more informed music culture in Vietnam, but also to charity, as all ticket proceeds will go towards the Toyota Scholarship for Young Vietnamese Music Talents. To encourage young adults who love classical music to attend, the concert will continue this year to offer preferential ticket prices to students.
