No duty for imports via express delivery worth VND1 million or less
Imports worth VND1 million ($50) or less, transported via express delivery services, will enjoy zero per cent import duty and value added tax.

According to the Decision 78/2010/QĐ-TTg signed by the Prime Minister on November 30, imports valued at over VND1 million ($50A) will be subject to import tax and value added tax in line with the current legal provisions.
The Ministry of Finance was assigned to decide any adjustment within 20 per cent of the value of the commodities in favour of the administration reforms and in compliance with international practices.
The decision will come into effect on February 1, 2011.
