Nguyen Xuan Phuc voted in as Prime Minister

New Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc was sworn into office in the morning of April 7 after 90,26% of the total National Assembly (NA) deputies elected him to the position by secret ballot.

Mr. Phuc, who is a Politburo member, was born on July 20, 1954 and currently serves as a deputy of the 13th National Assembly.

In the following swearing-in, Prime Minister Phuc vowed to absolutely be loyal to the Fatherland, the People and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

He also pledged to make concerted efforts to fulfill the missions assigned by the Party, the State and the people.
