Manulife Vietnam, the first 100 per cent foreign-owned life insurance company licenced in Vietnam, has opened its new customer service office at Maritime Bank Building’s in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1 last week.

The new office, designed to offer customers more convenient and better service, covers a total area of 1,470 square metres.

It supplements the company’s existing headquarters at Manulife Plaza in District 7 and its transaction office at WMC Building also in District 1. To mark the occasion, Manulife Vietnam has granted 20 portions worth VND 20 million ($9,600) to the Nguyen Huu Tho scholarship fund established by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of District 1 to support poor students in the area.

Besides the advantage of locating in the downtown area of Ho Chi Minh City, the new office offers customers a professional, spacious and well-equipped serving environment. And as part of the company’s initiative of applying modern information technology to all offices nationwide, this new office is well-equipped with Wi-Fi internet service connection for convenient use.

“This new office opening is a milestone in Manulife Vietnam’s development strategy for 2012. Expanding the office network in a market of such high potential as Ho Chi Minh City is a necessary step to meet growing insurance demand as well as strongly reaffirm our commitment to providing customers with international standards of service,” said CEO of Manulife Vietnam Chung Ba Phuong.

With this opening, from October 8, 2012 all transactions served at Manulife Transaction Office, 890 Tran Hung Dao street, District 5 have been moved to the new office.
