The InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort has introduced the legendary three Michelin Starred chef, Michel Roux, to lead its La Maison 1888 restaurant.

French-born Roux is one of the most influential chefs in Europe. His second restaurant, The Waterside Inn recently became the first restaurant outside of France to retain three Michelin stars for 27 years.

Roux will bring the Son Tra Peninsula his passion for French cuisine and a genuine love for Vietnamese culture with its rich French heritage. La Maison 1888, Roux’s latest masterpiece, is scheduled to open in late 2012. It will blend exquisite French cuisine with a stunning view of the mythical Monkey Mountain for a spectacular, unforgettable dining experience.

The design of the restaurant recreates an antique French mansion with each intimate dining area dressed as a period room with themes including travel and a madame’s boudoir.

Capturing the essence of delicate French cooking, La Maison 1888 presents a distinctive gourmet experience with delectable à la carte menus designed by Roux and his select team.

The sophisticated, divine cuisine harmoniously blends with the fresh ingredients from the world’s best markets, all marked with the flourish of Roux’s creative and skilful touch. Diners here will take a trip back to a bygone era when service was classic and food was an experience.
