Hanoi plans to build more five stars hotels in inner-city areas

Director of Hanoi’s Department of Tourism Do Dinh Hong said that the city planned to build around 20 4-5 star hotels in the city centre.

According to a new tourism plan, Hanoi will focus on developing high-quality tourism products, build infrastructure, train human resources and offer preferential policies for investors in the tourism sector.

In 2017, Hanoi will complete the planning of Ba Vi-Suoi Hai tourism site and invest more in Bat Trang ceramic village; Van Phuc Silk village and Duong Lam village. The city will finish construction of Kim Quy Park and National Exhibition Centre in Dong Anh District.
The city will also call on investors to build around 20 4-5 star hotels in the city centre.

He noted that Hanoi targeted to attract 23.39 million visitors, up 11.08% on-year, including 4.1 million international travellers, and earned tourism revenues of VND66.1 trillion, up 7.12% against 2016.

People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung said that Hanoi would spend USD2 million on CNN TV coverage and marketing.

Chung said Hanoi would work with CNN to provide news about business, healthcare, and sports to attract more foreign investors to the capital.
