Saigon Garment Manufacturing Trade Joint Stock Company (Garmex Saigon) has coordinated with Thoi Trang Xanh Co Ban Company to produce and distribute garments in the local retail market.

Starting June 2011, Garmex Saigon plans to manufacture and supply Thoi Trang Xanh Co Ban Company with casual wear. The products will be designed by Thoi Trang Xanh Co Ban, tagged with made-in-Garmex Saigon (GMC) labels and distributed in Blue Exchange chain stores, wholly owned by Thoi Trang Xanh Co Ban.

The fashion garments will be made by skilled workers in line with strict quality control for the US, EU and Japanese markets.

The joint cooperation is expected to help consumers access to high quality products at very competitive prices.

Founded in 1976, privatized in 2004 and listed on HoSE in 2006, Garmex Saigon is focused on an export-oriented growth strategy. It has posted remarkable sales and profits since equitisation.

Garmex Saigon has also consecutively won Reliable Exporter awards conferred by Ministry of Trade and Industry. It now believes that it is high time to step into the local retail market of fashion garments to tap the growing 80 million-strong market and diversify its operations as such.
