Football: Man City midfielder denies assault in casino fight

Manchester City midfielder Kelvin Etuhu on Friday denied assaulting two men in a brawl outside a casino.

The 22-year-old pleaded not guilty to charges of wounding with intent on one alleged victim and

assault occasioning actual bodily harm to a second man.

The incident occurred outside a casino in central Manchester, northwest England, on February 28.

He was appearing at Manchester Crown Court alongside another man, who also pleaded guilty to both charges.

The pair were bailed to appear for trial at Manchester Crown Court on February 7 next year.

Etuhu, a Manchester City academy graduate, spent the whole of last season on loan at Championship club Cardiff City.

He has yet to play for the Citizens this season.

The Nigerian-born player is the younger brother of Nigeria midfielder Dickson Etuhu.

Though he grew up in south London, Kelvin Etuhu has also pledged his international loyalty to the west African country.
