David Beckham will have to overcome another Rocky Mountain roadblock if the English midfielder is to realize his dream of leading the Los Angeles Galaxy to the 2010 Major League Soccer crown.

Jamaican forward Omar Cummings scored in the 43rd minute to give the Colorado Rapids a 1-0 victory over San Jose on Saturday and a berth in the MLS Cup final.

Colorado will face Sunday's winner between Beckham's Galaxy and FC Dallas on November 21 in Toronto for the North American league's title. Beckham's club was beaten by Real Salt Lake in last year's MLS championship match.

Cummings, 28, shared third in MLS scoring this season with 14 goals and had two assists in the opening plyoff round for Colorado, which has not played in the championship match since losing to D.C. United in 1997.

Colorado finished fifth in the Western Conference and San Jose was one spot behind them, but they each claimed playoff berths by finishing among the top eight MLS clubs overall and were moved to the Eastern Conference playoffs, where they ousted New York and Columbus before meeting for the "East" title.
