ou may have been to Nha
Trang so many times that you
almost know every corner in
the city; however, there are a
few secret spots that remain less well-
known and Ninh Tinh is top of the list.
Ninh Tinh is located in Ninh Hoa
District, on the northern region of Nha
Trang. Travelling by car, it will take
you one hour to get here. This small
fishing village is set over 100 acres of
landscaped grounds, bordered by lush
tropical forest and over one-kilometer
of long sandy beach. Protected from
the ocean waves by a nearby coral reef,
the turquoise water is relatively shallow
and safe for families to enjoy swimming
underneath endless sunshine.
Since the area is still untouched
by mass tourism, nature remains wild.
There are several dive sites, the near-
est one of which is only about two
kilometers from the village market.
Unlike many other reefs around Nha
Trang city, where the fragile ecosys-
tem is threatened by mass tourism
and urban areas that empty pollution
into the ocean – the Ninh Tinh coral
reefs remain safe and full of vibrant
sealife.

Getting there
From Nha Trang, take Highway
1 north to Ninh Hoa district. On the
highway, turn right to Huyndai Vi-
nashin Shipyard. Ninh Tinh village
is 5 kilometers from the shipyard.
