he program lasted two days
and one night and departed
from Ho Chi Minh City. At the
farm stay, guests explored new
destinations for their upcoming tour
programs. They saw the Thac Mai hot
spring, biked in the countryside and
visited Cat Tien National Park for trek-
king in the park. Alongside this, they
enjoyed its comfortable accommoda-
tion and friendly staff.
All were impressed with this in-
spection tour and promised to promote
this new destination to their domestic
and international guests.
Cat Tien Jungle Lodge offers a farm
stay facility for visitors who want to
experience all aspects of country living.
Set within the serenity of a rural Viet-
namese landscape, the farm stay rooms
and facilities are built from old wooden
homes that once housed real local fami-
lies, but some modern comforts have
been added.
Located within 7,000sqm of spa-
cious cashew nut, grapefruit rambutan
plantation and with its very own small
vegetable plot, it is less than a kilome-
tre walk to Cat Tien National Park. The
homestay atmosphere is relaxed and
laid back.
Since it is located in a wooded area
with a river flowing by, the farm is
regularly visited by many birds, and at
last count, there was a family of six
squirrels.
There are two wooden bungalows
which can accommodate up to eight
people, plus a double storey wooden
house with eight separate rooms that
is good for 16 persons on a twin-share
basis. The facility also has a couple of
smaller room units which can accom-
modate single travellers with commu-
nal bathroom facilities.
All homestay rooms are designed
to be simple and clean, using mainly
local materials. The aim is to preserve
the natural setting and to allow guests
to experience rural Vietnamese living.
All rooms have fans, but not air
conditioners. It offers electricity, WiFi,
hot water, Western toilets, open-air
bathrooms and a big spacious garden.
The nights are truly dark and quiet,
with just the sounds of insects and
nocturnal birds providing the muted
soundtrack.
Cat Tien Homestay in collabora-
tion with Cat Tien Jungle Lodge offers
various interesting activities for visiting
guests. These include complimentary
bicycle rentals – the ideal way to ex-
perience the surrounding countryside;
and visits to a small local market about
400 meters away with our kitchen hand
when they do their daily market shop in
the morning.

Guests may also have a nice meal
at Cat Tien Jungle Lodge’s Happy Belly
Restaurant or chill out at the DMZ Café
& Bar.
