in Ho Chi Minh City, is one
among hundreds of thousands
of Vietnamese passengers flying be-
tween Singapore and Vietnam several
times a year to do businesses. Along
with him, many of his staff also fly to
this economic hub frequently to visit
their children studying there or to treat
their diseases.
According to the statistics of Sin-
gapore’s Tourism General Department,
in the first three quarters of 2013, Sin-
gapore attracted more than 295,000
Vietnam tourists - an increase of 3 per
cent over the previous year.
Today, with a harmonious combi-
nation of colourful culture, arts, cuisine
and unique architecture, Singapore is
well-known as a dynamic and brilliant
city where east-meet-west.
Singapore is one of the biggest avi-
ation markets in Asia with many airlines
operating daily flights between Singa-
pore and Vietnam, such as Vietnam Air-
lines, Singapore Airlines, AirAsia, SilkAir
and Lion Air. And now VietJetAir has
announced its new daily flight between
Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City which
will begin on May 23. The Ho Chi Minh
City – Singapore route will operate sev-
en flights per week with the modern
Airbus A320.
