Asia’s largest under-
ground mall, Vincom Mega
Mall Royal City, has opened
in Hanoi.
Located in the Royal
City mixed-use develop-
ment at 72A Nguyen Trai
street, Thanh Xuan district,
the mall is the first ever
shopping and entertain-
ment complex in Vietnam
which has been developed
according to the interna-
tional mega mall model
and covers a total area of
230,000 square metres.
It is a home to more
than 800 retail booths and
offers new entertainment
activities to its visitors. It
houses the largest indoor
water park in Southeast
Asia, the first ice-skating
rink in Vietnam, Vinpearl
games, Fairytale Garden, a
cinema, a hypermarket, plus
an electronics and furniture
centre. It also has a food
court of 44,000 square me-
tres in size with more than
170 restaurants.
With a total area of
24,000 square metres, Vin-
pearl Water Park Royal City
is divided into 14 different
zones, such as the fam-
ily and children’s swimming
pool, a professional sport
pool, a wave pool, extreme
free-fall water slides, super-
speed spiral slides and con-
cave super sliding tube.

150 skaters and Russia train-
ers will be on hand to help
Norfolk Development
Group has been awarded
the State President’s Third-
class Labour Medal, as was
its chairman, Nguyen Thanh
Hoang. This came as the
business was celebrating
the 15th anniversary of its
investment license. From
the early days of operation,
Norfolk Group has provided
construction
consultancy
and management services
for a lot of real estate pro-
jects in Ho Chi Minh City,
such as Norfolk Hotel, Nor-
folk Mansion, TMS, PDD,
SDI and Tan Da Court. The
company’s
contributions
include providing employ-
ment for over 400 staff. Lai
Quoc Phong, CEO of Norfolk
Group said: “The company
has also shown its enthusi-
asm with social charitable
activities especially in Dis-
trict 1 and District 2 of Ho
Chi Minh City, allocating
funds to help the poor and
provide the unfortunate
students with adequate fi-
nancial aids.”
For the first time, Vi-
etnam will host two Asian
golf tournaments this year.
The Vietnam Golf Associa-
tion in cooperation with the
Asian Tour and Asia-Pacific
Golf Confederation will or-
ganise the Volvik-Sky Lake
Vietnam Masters 2013 and
Senior Amateur Champion-
ship. The inaugural Volvik
– Sky Lake Vietnam Masters
will be played in September,
while the Senior Amateur
Championship will tee off in
November.

Nam province have entered
into a reciprocal agreement,
allowing members of the two
courses to gain access to each
other’s five-star facilities. The
two clubs have come to this
agreement with the view of
adding benefit to its member-
ship and also to commit to
work together in growing the
game of golf in Vietnam. The
newly opened and acclaimed
Sky Lake golf course in Ha-
noi has very quickly gained a
reputation as a must play set
of holes while Montgomerie
Links has already proven it-
self as world class golf facility
with multiple awards.
