REVIEW
PSB College is the
first and only Singapore li-
censed college in Vietnam.
It provides students with
easy access to knowledge
and skills and goes beyond
the usual classroom study.
PSB College offers a suite
of internationally recog-
nised diploma programs in
business, marketing, hos-
pitality and tourism, bank-
ing and finance.
The programs are con-
ducted in English and all
teachers are native speak-
ers. Most hold masters or
doctorate degrees and have
experience in their field.
Besides, the qualifica-
tions offered at PSB Col-
lege are identical to those
awarded by PSB Acad-
emy Singapore, providing
graduates with further
study pathways at partner
universities.
PSB College is going to
celebrate its 10th year an-
niversary this year together.
On this special occasion,
PSB College is going to offer
10 full scholarships worth
VND4 billion to applicants
on the 2014 intake.
Candidates for the
scholarship should have
an excellent academic
performance record. The
scholarships will be pre-
sented in memory of Mo-
han Coomaraswamy, the
founder of the college.
On June 20, students
in the first grade 12 grad-
uating class of the Cana-
dian International School
(CIS) were presented with
Ontario Secondary School
Diplomas (OSSD) by War-
ren Hoshizaki, Director of
Education from the District
School Board of Niagara
(DSBN). Audri Mukhopad-
hyay, the Consul General of
Canada in Ho Chi Minh City
was keynote speaker for
this milestone ceremony.
The OSSD presentation
ceremony was a clear af-
firmation of the long-term
and comprehensive coop-
eration between CIS and
DSBN. The District School
Board of Niagara is the con-
sulting Ontario school dis-
trict which provides advice
and support to CIS with
both human and education-
al resources and solutions.
Warren Hoshizaki said:
“The DSBN has been proud
to work alongside CIS Vi-
etnam. For these students
and this school, I believe
the sky is the limit!”
In his keynote speech,
the Consul General of
Canada acknowledged the
outstanding developments
of CIS students and of-
fered a few engaging and
thought-provoking orien-
tations for students about
studying at university.
At
the
ceremony,
CIS system leaders also
presented
mathematics
awards to students for be-
ing in the top 25 per cent
of students worldwide who
participated in the 2013 In-
ternational Math Contest of
the University of Waterloo.
This is the 3rd consecutive
year CIS students have par-
ticipated in this contest and
almost half earned medals
and certificates.

SeABank has formed
a partnership with some of
the country’s key real es-
tate developers to provide
exceptionally low loan rates
to buyers. One of the prop-
erties being offered as part
of the collaboration is the
Berriver apartment complex
in Hanoi’s Long Bien district.
Developed by Hanco9, Ber-
river homes will be available
for purchase via SeABank
at the discounted rate of
8.8 per cent for the first 12
months. Homebuyers are
eligible to borrow up to 70
per cent of total value over a
period of 20 years.
In addition to the lower
interest rates, those pur-
chasing Berriver Long Bien
homes are offered a series
of other privileges, including
free management and park-
ing fees for two years, plus
a furniture package worth
VND120 million. Alternative-
ly, bare-shell units are avail-
able, priced VND3.5 million
lower per square metre than
fully completed units.
Another deal offers bor-
rowers an initial interest free
month, followed by an eleven
month period at 11 per cent.
The bank promises a
rapid application turna-
round, with potential buyers
receiving a decision within
five days of full borrowing
profiles being submitted.
