Besides motorbike and tuk tuk, another way
to make your discovering tour fresher and
greener is to travel by bicycle throughout the
pinetree forest from Quan Lan wharf to Son
Hao unspoiled beaches, to wild forests of Bai
Tu Long national park and end at sparkling
beach of Minh Chau. In the near future, a
smoothier and wider tourist road linking
Quan Lan with Son Hao and Minh Chau
commune will be completed.
TO GET TO QUAN LAN:
There are hydrofoils, hi-speed canoes and
wooden boats daily between Quan Lan is-
land and Hon Gai wharf in Halong City and
Cai Rong wharf in Van Don island. Hydro-
foils depart Hon Gai twice daily at 10.30am
and 2pm at cost of VND120,000 - 150,000
per person with time lasting from 50 minutes
to 1 hour and 15 minutes. Boat trip departs
Cai Rong wharf daily at 8am and 2pm daily
at cost of VND120.000 per ticket which lasts
around 45minutes. Tickets are available on
wharf.
