tion, Swing for the Kids saw strong sup-
port from donors. Though the value of
each scholarship remains humble, they
have a huge effect on the lives of those
who recieve them. With sponsors, au-
thorities, the media and other organi-
sations joining hands, VIR expects to
raise even more money for kids in fu-
ture tournaments.
“With the kind donations of in-
dividuals and businesses, more than
VND1.2 billion has been raised today
to support needy, talented pupils and
students across the country,” said
Nguyen Anh Tuan,
VIR
’s editor-in-chief
and chairman of the tournament or-
ganising board.
“I am extremeley proud to say that
the tournament has raised VND6.7 bil-
lion over the last seven years for study
promotion,” he said.
Cam, expressed his high apprecia-
tion for the efforts of the particpants
and donors. He is a firm believer that
the best way to help needy children
is to equip them with knowledge via
a sound education. “I have witnessed
and taken part in many charitable ac-
tivities, but this is a stand-out event,”
he said.
Nguyen Thi Nga, chairman of BRG
Group, the co-organiser of this year’s
event, affirmed the group’s long term
commitment to the tournament.
