see them go on to reach great study-
ing achievements, despite their poor
backgrounds.
Le Khac Hiep, vice chairman of
Vingroup – the platinum sponsor – said
donating to the scholarship foundation
has become the most meaningful char-
ity activity of the business. Alongside
awarding scholarships, Vingroup also
donates useful items to schools.
This year, the gold sponsor, Kinder
World Group, decided to up their sup-
port following years as silver sponsor
and pledged both cash and vocational
training courses.
Jamie Westenburg, golf director of
King’s Island golf course, said that the
golf course is proud to take part in this
meaningful activity: “We are fortunate,
so we would like to give back by helping
the poor children of Vietnam.”
Nguyen Anh Tuan, editor-in-chief

and
chairman of the championship stressed
his high appreciation of all the sponsors
for their commitment over the last six
years, especially because many have
increased their level of support despite
economic difficulties. “Thanks to their
unfailing support we expect to exceed
the total raised last year,” he said.
As a result of this, 2013 will see
the highest number of student awards
to date.
