All passengers want to enjoy a safe,
punctual flight. In my experience, when
a problem occurs, passengers should be
more sympathetic toward the airlines
so they can solve the problem and im-
prove quality.
Can you reveal a bit about your jour-
ney to become the three millionth
passenger of VietJetAir?
Well, that day I flew to Thailand.
Firstly I booked a Thursday flight, but
then I moved it to Friday to wait for my
friend. That was Friday, September 13 -
Friday and the 13th! After checking in,
a strange person phoned me to ask my
name and some private information,
but I made another appointment with
him and then carried on. At that time
I did not know that I was on to a win-
ner. All the time I was in Thailand I still
did not know. It was only when I was
back home that I received the call from
VietJetAir to announce that I was its
3,000,000th passenger. It’s really amaz-
ing for me because I rarely have such
good fortune - I have never even won a
prize in a lottery.
How did you feel about receiving the
prize?
It was a great honour as Minister
of Transport Dinh La Thang personally
gave the prize to me with the attend-
ance of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen
Xuan Phuc and many senior state of-
ficials. That morning was very excel-
lent. Everybody congratulated me with
smiles. I feel very cosy and happy. I
really am a happy passenger.
What do you plan to do with your
prize?
I will fly more often than I walk!
Maybe if I travel by air a lot, I will even
be able to find a partner in the sky…
VietJetAir’s 3,000,000th
passenger
Passenger Duong Chau Toan won
his year of free flights having pur-
chased the three millionth ticket sold
bv VietJetAir. He flew from Ho Chi Minh
City to Bangkok. On September 22,
2013, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen
Xuan Phuc, Former Deputy Prime Min-
ister Truong Vinh Trong, Deputy Chair-
man of the National Assembly Huynh
Ngoc Son and leaders of ministries and
authorities attended the celebration to
welcome him. Toan’s prize means he
can fly free on all of VietJetAir’s routes,
both domestic and international.
Duong Chau Toan, a handsome
and single man, was born in 1988. He
graduated in America, and already op-
erated his own company by the age of
20. He has since worked as an editor for
HHT 2 Dep newspaper and is currently a
brand manager for a large brand name.
He has chosen to fly with VietJetAir due
to his love of its young, friendly, ac-
tive and vivid ambiance, as well as the
cheap prices and thoughtful service of
the new generation air carrier.
