Club’s
Dunes course has recently
been named Best Golf Course
in Vietnam for 2012 at the
prestigious Asia Pacific Golf
Summit in Brunei.
Although only in its third
year of operation, Danang
Golf Club has already received
most of the highest accolades
in Vietnam and the Asia Pa-
cific region. Earlier this year it
was named Best Course in Vi-
etnam by US Golf Digest and
Best in Vietnam in the Rolex
World’s Best Courses guide-
book. In 2011, Danang Golf
Club was named Best New
Course in Asia Pacific at the
Asia Pacific Golf Summit, held
in Pattaya, Thailand.
The awards acknowl-
edge the outstanding design
of the Dunes course, a true
links-style layout designed
by former world number one
player, Greg Norman.
“This has been a great
year for Danang Golf Club
and credit must go to our
course superintendent, Mr Ali
Macfadyen and all the ser-
vice and operations staff,” the
club’s general manager, Ben
Styles, said after receiving the
latest award in Brunei. Ben
has been in Vietnam for some
years now and explained that
this is the highlight thus far.
It follows Vietnam being
named Golf Destination of
the Year in Asia and Australa-
sia at the annual Internation-
al Association of Golf Tour
Operators convention, held
in Portugal in November.
