Phu Yen’s
hotspots
Bai Mon-Mui Dien
Bai Mon, bordered by Mui Nay in the north and
Mui Dien in the south, comprises over 400-metres
of coastline, featuring a sloping sand bank and
pure waters with gentle waves.
Mui Dien is also called Dai Lanh Cape, Ke Ga
Cape or Cap Varella. On top of Dai Lanh Cape a
beacon is one of eight of 100 years plus in age
currently in operation throughout Vietnam. The
beacon is the oldest covering international territo-
rial waters.
Here, visitors have a chance to climb to the
beacon site for amazing ocean views. They can
also take a night to enjoy the fresh air, delicious
authentic seafood, and listen to the sound of the
surf before welcoming the first sunlight to hit Viet-
nam’s mainland territory.
Ganh Da Dia (Cliff of Stone Plates)
Ganh Da Dia, in Tuy An dis-
trict’s An Ninh Dong commune, is
around 40 kilometres from vibrant
Tuy Hoa city. At around 50m wide
and over 200m long, Ganh Da Dia is
an unparalleled venue in Vietnam.
Here, shiny black stones stand up-
right in columns. Linked tightly to-
gether, each stone has a hexagonal
or octagonal-shape and is half un-
derground and half floating in the
whispering blue of the sea water.
Contiguous to Ganh Da Dia is
a three kilometre beach fronted by
clear blue sea water - an ideal place
to set up an ocean-front upscale re-
sort. Ganh Da Dia has a wild beauty
and a pure environment, not yet
affected by tourism operators.
