Cold snap strikes northern Vietnam

Temperatures in the tourism town of Sa Pa have dipped to 3.3 degrees Celsius while residents in Cao Bang province’s Trung Khanh and Bac Kan province’s Ngan Son district witnessed the temperature dropping to 4 and 5.5 degrees Celsius respectively.
The capital city is expected to endure the cold wave until January 7. According to local weather forecasters, another cold spell will hit the northern region on January 9, which will bring sharp temperature drops.
