15 Excellent clips of Apollo english idol revealed

Contestants recorded these clips by themselves and posted them on Apollo English Idol website to show their abilitiy to sing in English. The top 15 clips to enter the final round were announced on February 18, 2011. Ten clips were commented by the judging panel and five clips were voted to be the audience’s favourites.

Khalid Muhmood, the chairman of Apollo English said: "We listened carefully to all 200 clips and evaluated their singing abilities, their English pronunciation and their motions when singing the songs. We are happy and proud because the contest has created a playground for teens to perform their song.”

According to the organisers, 15 finalists will be awarded with an IPod Shuffle and granted an English scholarship at Apollo English worth 50 per cent of the course fee. Addition, they will be provided with a free pronunciation class by our Apollo English teachers to help them increase the quality of their recorded songs for the upcoming final round. 

Each of our Top 15 contestants will also record another video clip and post it on the contest website for viewing in the final round. The first prize will be an exclusive chance to be aired on YanTV for one year, plus a cash award worth VND10 million (almost $500) and a full English scholarship at Apollo English.

Apollo English Idol is an annual online singing contest for Vietnamese youngsters all over Vietnam and is jointly held by Apollo English, Zing.vn, and YanTV. Firstly organised in 2009, Apollo English Idol consists of two rounds and is promising to bring lots of buzz to the internet community.
