|Breaking ground on the industrial park|
Covering an area of 3,200 hectares with the investment capital of VND22 trillion or neary $1 billion, the IP is expected to create a breakthrough in attracting investment to develop the province.
The construction will be divided into seven phases. In the first phase, the team will develop an industrial estate of about 500 hectares by April this year with the total investment capital of $100 million. The first phase, with the completed infrastructure, is expected to welcome the first investors in the fourth quarter of this year. Interested investors will only need to equip their manufacturing lines to start operation.
“Being the first IP project of WHA Corporation in Vietnam, WHA Hermaraj-Nghe An marks an important milestone in the group’s operation in the country. Vietnam has been considered an ideal destination by numerous foreign investors and has become the industrial manufacturing centre of Asia. Thus, once the IP comes into operation, it will attract investment in numerous sectors, including automobile manufacturing, garments and textile, electricity, and logistics, among others,” said David Nardone, vice chairman of the board of directors of WHA Corporation.

WHA Hermaraj-Nghe An will supply investors with infrastructure meeting international standards, similar to constructs the group previously installed in nine IPs in Thailand.
After completing the first phase, the group will construct the six remaining phases by 2028.
Initiated in 2003 by a group of forward-thinking entrepreneurs involved in industrial property development, WHA Corporation has become a leading player in logistics, industrial estates, utilities, and power and digital services both in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
