|At the conference on June 12, Thanh Hoa introduced the 4-5-6-6 development model to investors|
In a recent investment promotion conference, organised on June 12, representatives of Thanh Hoa People’s Committee and the Ministry of Planning and Investment granted the investment certificates for 34 projects with the total investment capital of $1.5 billion and signed MoUs with investors.
Another highlight of the conference was that the province issued the new development orientation, focusing on the so-called 4-5-6-6 model.
Notably, the province determines four motivation centres, namely Thanh Hoa-Sam Son cities, Nghi Son Economic Zone, Bim Son Industrial Park, and Lam Son-Sao Vang Industrial Park.
In addition, Thanh Hoa determines five backbones, which are the motivation to promote the province’s development in manufacturing and processing, as well as hi-tech agriculture, tourism, healthcare, and infrastructure urban development. Accordingly, the province will also focus on attracting investment capital in five sectors.
The province considers six economic corridors connecting with Hanoi, the northern provinces, the north-central region, and Laos, including the coastal economic corridor, the north-south economic corridor, the Ho Chi Minh road economic corridor, the northeast economic corridor, the central economic corridor, and the international economic corridor.
The last but not least, Thanh Hoa determines six inter-district regions, which will be the basis for planning and building shared socio-economic infrastructure systems to create convenience for each region.
According to Thanh Hoa's development plan in the 2021-2030 period with a vision towards 2045, in the 2021-2025 period, the province will focus on developing several solutions, focusing on agricultural development towards centralised, large-scale mass production, and improving the local investment and business environment.
In addition, Thanh Hoa will make efforts to effectively implement infrastructure projects, improve the efficiency of scientific-technological applications, increase cultural-social activities, enhance the management of natural resources and food safety, consolidate national defence and security, and maintain social order and safety, thus facilitating socio-economic development.
By 2030, Thanh Hoa will become an industrialised province, with a synchronous, upgraded socio-economic infrastructure, suitable for the development trends of the region and the country, as well as the ASEAN and the world at large.
