As many as 35,390 people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or entered Vietnam from pandemic-hit regions are being quarantined nationwide, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
The Subcommittee for Treatment said up to 902 out of the 1,060 patients have made full recovery.
Among the active patients, 16 tested negative for coronavirus SAR-CoV-2 once, 17 twice and 21 three times. Meanwhile, four patients are in a critical condition and face a high risk of death.
