|Nestlé Milo receiving the APAC Effie Award|
Following Nestlé Milo's “For a Powerful and Prosperous Vietnam" initiative, the Activ Vietnam programme encourages a dynamic lifestyle, such as regular exercising, especially among children of age 6-17. The programme’s goal is to support sport events at localities, donate sports equipment to schools, and to help parents encourage their children to be more active.
The programme is organised by Nestlé Milo, the Ministry of Education and Training, and General Department of Sports and Physical Training.
Outstandingly reaching the final of Asia Pacific (APAC) Effie Awards 2018, the 3600 media campaign “Activ Vietnam” is Vietnamese only representative in this year’s competition, which saw attendance of 600 campaigns, including 157 campaigns from the Asia-Pacific region. The Vietnamese campaign integrated many media tools, including television commercials (TVC), popular social networks in Vietnam such as Google and YouTube, to share the real stories offering inspirations.
The programme has successfully seized the interest and elicited the support of athletes, education and sports managers, and celebrities who joined to spread the “Activ Vietnam” spirit to the public. More than 320,000 parents have committed to readily take action with Nestlé Milo. Thanks to these efforts and the programme’s sphere of influence, the prestigious Asia-Pacific Effie Award 2018 went to Nestlé Milo.
Sharing about Nestlé Milo’s latest award, Ali Abbas, director of Nestlé Milo and Nestlé Vietnam, said, “We appreciate that the efforts of Nestlé Milo to develop sports in schools were recognised in this prestigious award. APAC Effie Awards was established by The Confederation of Asian Advertising Agency Association (CAAAA) and Tenasia Group. The awards honours the region’s most outstanding marketing communication works that have proven results in meeting strategic objectives. The awards aims to champion practices of marketing effectiveness excellence in the Asia-Pacific region and provides the growing industry with a regional platform to celebrate the best campaigns.
The Effie Awards are known by advertisers and agencies globally as the pre‐eminent awards in the industry. Introduced by the New York American Marketing Association in 1968, the Effie Awards have since been recognised by advertisers and agencies as the global standard of marketing effectiveness excellence.
