The message was delivered by Jon Roskill, Microsoft Corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group in his keynote at Microsoft Vietnam Partner Conference 2012 held in Ho Chi Minh City today.
As a leading technology trend-setter, Microsoft and its partners bring out numerous new opportunities with added value solutions through optimal “devices and services” approach. The event celebrates the contribution to local ICT from more than 500 partners in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia as well as gives a preview of what will be the most exciting product releases for Microsoft in the year.
Upon the world economic integration and with aim to improving the competitiveness in World Trade Organization, it is inevitable for Vietnamese enterprises to invest in IT. Solid infrastructure platform-based solutions such as data centre, cloud computing, security and business productivity, for end-users or application platform optimisation are some of notable opportunities for Microsoft’s partners in Vietnam and Indochina.
“A number of new released products Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, Windows Server 2012, SQL Server 2012, Microsoft Dynamics CRM…to name a few, has marked a new era of technology which is unprecedented in Microsoft’s history. Those are highlights to create massive business development opportunities for Microsoft’s partners as well as deliver users unparalleled experiences,” said Roskill.
In the conference, Windows 8 is highlighted as the most significant milestones in bringing together the greatest power of PCs, tablets and other technology devices. The new Windows UI which helps quick navigation through traditional business software, light-weight applications and cloud services allowing the flexibility to do more from anywhere, at any time.
In addition to the state-of-the-art devices, trendsetting technology solutions, Microsoft’s strategic products provide a promising opportunity for partners to collaborate.
“Partners and software/apps development companies enjoy great opportunities to shift and develop our creativity to generate benefits as not only Microsoft was there to support but also its strategic service providers,” said Nguyen Huy Cuong, CEO of Tinh Van ERP.
Microsoft commits to continue investing in strategic co-operations in which partner’s successes will be strongly focused and highlighted by constantly sharing and updating their strategy.
“At Microsoft, we constantly review our partner strategy and development programmes to ensure that solutions are not only relevant, but also compliant with the latest regulations”, said Vu Minh Tri, country manager, Microsoft Vietnam.
“In order to support our partners, especially solution partners to provide more values to clients and end-users, Microsoft constantly improves and encourages our partners by Solution Incentive Program (SIP). SIP aims to train and support our partners from business planning and implementation. Microsoft encourages our partners to provide more, from design and services development per request based on Microsoft technology platform to optimise their customer’s investment and deployment efficiency,” added Luu Danh Anh Vu, partner group lead, Microsoft Vietnam.
Microsoft also creates strong network provides opportunities for 640,000 partners worldwide to identify and liaise with partners in areas of different expertise. At the conference, Microsoft Vietnam also announced Lac Viet Computing Corporation as a winner at the 2012 Microsoft Vietnam Partner of the Year in solution category. Awards in the category of Large Account Reseller and Value-Added Reseller were granted to FPT IS and Tan Duc Company respectively for their efforts to grow over the last fiscal year of Microsoft. The Distributor of the Year award was named to Dong Nam A software limited company. The Dynamic Partner of the Year was granted to Votiva Vietnam Company.
