OIF is the first bilingual website on innovation in Vietnam and primarily aims to support the National Innovation System (NIS) in Viet Nam by giving enterprises, NGOs, authorities, universities, research institutions a better access to knowledge, experiences and other information on innovations, match-making and partnership building.   OIF content focuses on comparing notes on innovations and learning from database, sharing innovation success stories, promoting match-making and innovations among enterprises and institutions, introducing projects and supply of information and other support for innovation.   OIF is expected to go through two main stages of development. The first stage from October last year till May this year has been trial operation and the second stage from May this year till September next year adding value and community linkages.   Beyond that phase, OIF will be developed based on community interests in innovation.   The OIF website is administered by the State Agency for Technological Innovation (SATI), which is directly administered by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). It functions as a bridge between research institutes, universities and enterprises and industries; strengthening and promoting technology applications and innovations and in particular facilitating the application of research results and technology from within and outside the country in production and business.   SATI has the two-fold task both as the policy-maker who proposes, drafts and implements policies and the supporting body for technology innovation.   OIF is technically supported by Innovation Partnership Program between Vietnam and Finland. IPP is an Official Development Assistance (ODA) programme between the governments of Vietnam and Finland that aims to strengthen the National Innovation System (NIS) of Vietnam.   IPP works with enterprises, public authorities and knowledge producers like universities and research institutions to increase innovation activities in Vietnam.
