In 2016, revenue from premium was VND5.3 trillion ($237.7 million), up 51 per cent on year, and equal to 14.4 times the amount for the year 2007 when the company was established.
Dai-ichi Life Vietnam now has 200 offices all over the country, serving 1.6 million customers. It has 900 employees and 60,000 agents. Market share grew from 4.4 per cenet in 2007 to 10 per cent at the end of 2016.
On the same day, the company received permission from the Ministry of Finance to raise its charter capital to $117 million. Earlier the company raised its charter capital from $25 million to $72 million in 2008, and to $100 million at the beginning of 2016.

Over the past 10 years, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has contributed VND17 billion ($762,000) in many charity programmes including helping poor patients have eye surgery, providing clean drinking water to students and teachers, giving scholarships to poor students, and more.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, the company gave a check of VND1.2 billion ($54,000) to the Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients of Ho Chi Minh City so that they can sponsor eye surgeries for poor patients in 2017-2019.
