|C.P. Vietnam handing over gifts to pupils in the central province of Quang Binh|
A delegation for the Thai-invested husbandry company visited central provinces last week to see first-hand the dilapidated houses, broken signs, and mud-covered roads, all carrying marks of the aftermath of storms which are still threatening to batter the country.
The first destination for the group, arriving on behalf of C.P. Vietnam and representing CEO Montri Suwanposri and vice presidents Adisak Torsakul and Le Nhay Thuy, was Nguyen Van Binh’s home. Binh was Chairman of Phong Dien People’s Committee in Thua Thien-Hue province before he and 12 others lost their lives trying to help the rescue efforts at a landslide at the Rao Trang 3 hydropower plant.

The delegate also visited the homes of every C.P. Vietnam staff member working in the central branch. Seeing the houses flooded with water, and roofs blown away, the group felt compelled to present gifts, offer hugs, and send wishes that locals could resiliently and quickly overcome the crisis.
Over the last few weeks, C.P. Vietnam and its all staff have expressed their support for people suffering in central provinces. All branches and farms of the group have also contributed to the C.P. Vietnam Donation Fund to help their colleagues in Hue, Quang Binh, and Quang Tri provinces.

Leaders organised a meal at the Thua Thien-Hue Frozen Shrimp Processing Factory and Aquaculture Farm in Quang Binh province, and Farm 2 in Hue. They welcomed the leaders as family members, shared their concerns, and sang together as gifts were presented.
Also during the trip, C.P. Vietnam presented 150 gifts to pupils of Tran Quoc Toan Primary School, and food including eggs and sausages to the school kitchen.
On November 11, the delegation arrived in Quang Binh’s Le Thuy district, which has suffered grave damage. In collaboration with the provincial Red Cross and Food Bank Vietnam, the C.P. Vietnam delegation delivered 300 gifts and four canoes, as well as 200 gifts of school items for pupils, in addition to food made by the company.
