The Deputy PM highly valued the two nations’ relationship, especially their trade turnover of US$1.82 billion in 2014, 10 times higher than in 2004.

He proposed the two sides enhance high-ranking delegation exchanges to strengthen trust and promote the completion of the bilateral cooperative mechanism in the context that the two sides celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

The two nations need to encourage their business communities to exploit cooperative and investment potentials stemming from the joining of the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

The Deputy PM suggested Mexico facilitate Vietnamese businesses' operation in fields of telecommunications, oil and gas and agriculture in Mexico, asserting that the Vietnamese Government welcomes and creates favorable conditions for Mexican enterprises to operate in Viet Nam.

The host expected that Mexico soon recognizes Viet Nam as a market economy and prevent protection barriers in the two nations’ trade relationship.

Ms. G. C. Barron confirmed that the Mexican Senate advocates policies and measures to accelerate the cooperation with Viet Nam, proposing the two sides complete the legal framework for bilateral cooperative relationship through negotiating and signing Agreements on economics, trade and investment.

She committed to encouraging Mexican enterprises to cooperate with Viet Nam in fields of infrastructure, electricity and agriculture.
