The concerned parties’ activities in Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes without Viet Nam’s permission, are illegal and invalid.

Vice spokesperson of Viet Nam’s Foreign Ministry Pham Thu Hang on October 23 made the statement in reply to reporters’ questions relating to China’s illegal building of an airport on Chu Thap reef (Stone Cross) in an endeavor to turn the reef into an island as well as support for Taiwan to deploy armed ships in Ba Binh island in Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

Viet Nam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos is indisputable, said the Vice spokesman.

Answering the question about any upcoming visits by Vietnamese high-ranking officials to China to discuss bilateral cooperation and the East Sea issue, Ms. Hang revealed that in 2015, the year that marks the 65thanniversary of Viet Nam-China diplomatic ties, the two nations will actively exchange delegations at all levels to strengthen their comprehensive cooperation.
