Vinamilk opens milk factory in New Zealand

The New Zealand milk powder factory, Miraka, supported by the Viet Nam Dairy Products JSC (Vinamilk) has come into operation.

The factory has a designed production capacity of 210 million litres of milk annually, equivalent to the amount of milk from 55,000 cows. Total investment capital is recorded at NZD$90 million ($74 million). Vinamilk plans to reach $1 billion revenues this year.

The project is part of a long-term strategy to help Vinamilk further integrate into the world market and be listed in the top 50 milk producers in the world by 2017, with a turnover of $3 billion annually.
