The military-run Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation has increased user-friendly services for e-trade enterprises.

The corporation has successfully organised a workshop on logistics solutions for e-trade enterprises on November 14, 2013 in Hanoi, to bring many logistics solutions to enterprises via user-friendly services.

These services can help enterprises effectively manage their business performance, from transporting and payment to customer care, and then save operational costs while increasing profit.

Viettel Post’s services have been expanded to all hamlets and communes throughout the country. Viettel Post will apply soft ware to help transport all goods parcels to customers exactly. The corporation will also apply a new payment method, in which bank-based transactions will be shifted to card reading via a portable point-of-sale system held by each goods deliverer. This means that e-trade enterprises will be able to receive money right at the time when Viettel Post delivers parcels and successfully collect money from customers.

Last year, Viettel Post also organised the same workshop in Ho Chi Minh City to bring logistics solutions to more than 100 e-trade enterprises in the city. With its strong infrastructure system, user-friendly services and short payment time, Viettel Post can compensate the whole value of goods, if the goods is damaged during transportation.

Many famous enterprises have become Viettel Post’s partners like Lazada, SCJ and Zalora.

“All customers and partners have totally shown their big confidence to Viettel Post’s services. And this has all the more increased our prestige,” said Viettel Post’s general director Luong Ngoc Hai.

During this year’s third quarter, the corporation’s revenue totaled VND287.6 billion ($13.7 million), up 11.4 per cent against the previous quarter, and up 14.71 per cent on-year.

The pre-tax profit reached VND8.2 billion ($390,500) in the third quarter, and VND20.4 billion (over $971,400) in this year’s first nine months.

The corporation’s contribution to the state budget was VND17.4 billion (nearly $828,600) in the July-September period, and VND46.4 billion ($2.2 million) during the January-September period which was up 22.5 per cent against last year’s first nine months.

Viettel Post’s nine-month revenue touched nearly VND800 billion ($38 million), equal to 77.3 per cent of this year’s plan.

In mid this year, the corporation set a target of earning revenue of VND1.1 trillion ($52.9 million) and joining Vietnam’s club of enterprises with revenue of VND1 trillion ($48 million) in this year, while fetching some VND1.5 trillion ($72.1 million) in revenue for 2014 and VND2 trillion ($96.15 million) for 2015.
