Vietnamese citizens are advised not to visit the Maldives until its government announces an end to the state of emergency.

Those, who are learning, working or visiting the island country, are recommended to avoid crowded and sensitive places and keep a close watch on warnings of local authorised offices to ensure safety.

In case of emergency, it is recommended to contact the hotline of the Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka (cum the Maldives) 94.11.2696050 or the citizen protection hotline 84.981.84.84.84.
