Vietnam Foodexpo 2017 opens gates to promote food industry

With the theme “Better food, better life,” Vietnam Foodexpo 2017 continues to promote the overall dynamic development of the Vietnamese food industry.

The expo will last for three days from November 15 to 18 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City

Vietnam Foodexpo 2017 is the biggest national trade promotion event of international standards, specialising in agricultural products, seafood, and the food industry in Vietnam. Kicked off today, the event has gathered 600 booths featuring over 450 domestic and foreign companies from 20 countries and territories exhibiting on an area spanning 13,000 square metres.

On display at Vietnam Foodexpo 2017 is an incredible variety of commodities, including vegetables, seafood, beverages, tea and coffee, food ingredients, processed food, as well as food processing technology, and machinery.

The highlight of Vietnam Foodexpo 2017 is the participation of several national brands and many big names in the industry, such as Quang Ngai Sugar, Habeco, Hapro, Satra, Vissan, Lafooco, and Bibica Confectionery. In addition, some supermarket chains like Hapro Mart, Lotte Mart, and Big C are also present at the expo to aid companies to distribute their agricultural products and foodstuffs via wholesale and retail chains.

This year, France is invited to be a Country of Honor at Vietnam Foodexpo 2017. The French National Pavilion sprawls on 360sq.m, introducing the panorama of the French food industry, from processed meat, milk products, and agricultural products to food processing machines with the motto of "Quality is the standard."

Addressing the seminar, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said that the Vietnamese food industry has been developing rapidly in recent years. Vietnam Foodexpo 2017 is a platform for local and international companies to promote trade and investment and ultimately makes the Vietnamese food industry safer and more competitive.

Accompanying the growing development of the food industry in Vietnam, Vietnam Foodexpo 2017 continues to welcome 20,000 visitors, including many potential buying missions from key export markets, such as Korea, Japan, China, the United States, France, the EU, Singapore, Malaysia, the Middle East, and Hong Kong.
