Vietnam badminton player placed 7th on world rankings

Vietnam’s top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has been placed 7 th on the latest World Badminton Federation (WBF) ratings with 57,779 points.

Minh was followed by Du Pengyu of China , Sho Sasaki of Japan and Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand.

As scheduled, he will compete in two Super Series tournaments this month – the Denmark Open from October 18-23 and the French Open from October 25-30.

At the Denmark Open, which offers awards totalled USD350,000, Minh will be seeded seventh. All players who were placed before Minh on the world rankings are expected to participate in the tourney.
