The new route will schedule four flights per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays using Airbus A321, bringing total flights departing from Viet Nam to Thailand to 46 per week.

This is the fourth international airway of Vietnam Airlines departing from Da Nang, along with routes to Siem Reap, Seoul and Tokyo.

CEO of Vietnam Airlines Duong Tri Thanh said the new route would help the firm diversify its products, develop airline networking and strengthen its competitive capacity, as well as realize its target to become one of the leading airlines in the region.

The route is also expected to further boost co-operation in trade, investment and tourism between Bangkok and Da Nang.

While launching the new route, Vietnam Airlines announced a preferential ticket price programme for passengers on the Da Nang – Bangkok route. Accordingly, the return ticket price will be VND669,000 (US$29) for economy class tickets and VND5.5 million for business tickets.

The tickets will be sold until July 10 for trips departing from June 26 to December 31.

The ticket price does not include taxes and fees. For further information, passengers can visit www.vietnamairlines.com.
