U.S. choir to perform in Hoi An

The choir of U.S.-based Phillips Exeter Academy College will perform at the ancient town of Hoi An on March 16, according to the Hoi An Center for Culture and Sports Center.

The performance is part of a Vietnam tour of the choir. During this tour, the choir will be entertaining audiences at theaters and schools in Hanoi, HCMC and Hue.

For the night in Hoi An, the choir, together with the Hoi An traditional art group, will sing the song “Auld lang syne” and Vietnamese folk songs such as Trong Com (song of rice drum) and Ly Keo Chai (song of drawing up a net).

The event is expected to draw the attention of the public and international choirs that will take part in the 4th Vietnam International Choir Competition, set to take place in Hoi An between April 29 and May 3.
