The under-19 team from the Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) – Arsenal JMG football academy yesterday defeated Malaysia 2-1 at the international U-21 Thanh Nien Newspaper Cup in Can Tho City in the Mekong Delta.

Over 30,000 spectators at Can Tho Stadium waved and cheered the relentless attacks organized by both side during the game.

Just nine minutes into the match, left midfielder Hong Duy was in the right position to receive a corner kick and headed home the opening goal.
