Taiwan Excellence Home & Living Experiencing Zone, an activity of the Taiwan Excellence 2014 campaign, which aims at bringing excellent lifestyles to Vietnam, makes its first ever presence in Ho Chi Minh City today.

The three-day event, organised by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (under Ministry of Economic Affairs) and implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), will run from September 19-21 at the Crescent Mall in District 7.

Following the previous event held in July at Royal City (Hanoi), this experiencing zone at the Crescent Mall features 45 brands from different fields, including ICT, home-living, healthcare, sports & leisure and transportation industries.

The ultimate purpose is to create opportunities for consumers to experience the most innovative, valuable and trust-worthy products from Taiwan.

The returning brands to the campaign will let visitors experience their newest models, such brands include Acer, HTC, D-Link, BenQ (representing ICT brands); Optoma and Cashido (home & living); and Strida and SYM (transportation).

While the two consumer technology leaders Acer and HTC bring to the show their most talked-about recent models, such as the Acer Aspire S7 notebook, the Acer One 7 tablet, and HTC’s One M8, BenQ introduces a highly innovative product – the MW853UST projector designed for the classroom with PointWrite™ interactivity that allows multiple students to all be involved and engaged at once.

With BenQ’s innovation, teachers can turn any space into an interactive whiteboard and get up to four students to collaborate simultaneously with PointWrite™ pens or simply with their fingers.

The 2014 Taiwan Excellence is especially unique in the number of new brands that have joined the campaign in Vietnam.

However, most are already recognised brands in Vietnam and are highly rated by many Vietnamese consumers, such as Caesar - a luxury bathroom products provider. Also joining the group is Karma, Taiwan’s leading brand in producing wheelchairs with its core value of “fit” - fit the user’s body, medical conditions and their environment.

Another representative of the first-timer group is Johnson Health Tech, an expert in home fitness products that fits different types of users’ needs.

One of the most innovative products from Johnson is their S7000 Stepper that creates the same tension and exertion on the leg and arm muscles.

Visiting Taiwan Excellence Home & Living Experiencing Zone, visitors can join a series of activities, such as raffles, games and performances, which all promise to bring visitors a quality time and opportunities to win attractive prizes.

In addition, visitors can take photos with the 3D painting and receive free printed photos when visiting the Taiwan Excellence booth.

They can also take their own photos with the 3D painting, then post onto Facebook and become a member of the Taiwan Excellence fan page (www.facebook.com/TaiwanExcellence.vn) to collect a gift from the Information desk.

The campaign celebrity endorser, super model/actress Thanh Hang, attended the event to interact with visitors on the opening day of the experiencing zone.

Sharing her passion for Taiwanese brands, Thanh Hang said, “What I love most about Taiwan Excellence is its hunger for innovation. I have many times found myself surprised with the unique, smart and unexpected features of these award-winning products.”

The symbol of Taiwan Excellence was established in 1992 by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, and subsequently the Taiwan Excellence Selection was launched the following year.

This year marks the 22nd selection, making the symbol of Taiwan Excellence a prestigious brand for enterprises in Taiwan to strive to be recognised by and is highly reputed throughout the world.

This year, the 22nd Taiwan Excellence award picked 186 winners (with recognised 514 products), from 504 companies.
