Whale skeletons in Ly Son attractive to visitors

The two whale skeletons aged over 200 years preserved at the Lang Tan relic site in Dong An Vinh village, Ly Son island in the central province of Quang Ngai, which were completely restored in 2020, have been attracting tourists.

Experts from the Viet Nam Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources have found a unique complex of fossilised coral – believed to date from 4,000 to 6,000 years ago – on the coast of Ly Son Island, 30km off Quang Ngai Province mainland.
