The conference, officially named “SMAC 2015: Connecting values – Evoking potentials”, will introduce the latest developments on Big Data and Cloud technology around the world. Business leaders at the conference will also learn how these IT solutions can benefit their management and decision-making process.

“In 2020, the world is forecast to have 7.3 billion personal devices, which is 30 times higher than 2010. This means social, mobile, analytics and cloud (SMAC) will revolutionise the global business in the very near future. With this in mind, MobiFone expects SMAC 2015 to become a dynamic forum for Vietnamese entrepreneurs to approach the world’s leaders, update and achieve global standards via applying these newest IT solutions,” said general director of MobiFone Cao Duy Hai at the opening ceremony.

Hai added that SMAC 2015 ultimately aimed to build a superior business community in Vietnam, one that can implement new technological trends like Big Data and Cloud computing quickly into their consumer insight and management.

Steve Wozniak

A highlight of SMAC 2015 is the speech of Steve Wozniak, who developed the first Apple computer and is regarded as one of the greatest icons of Silicon Valley. Wozniak is scheduled to discuss the impact of technology evolutions on business management in the past decade, as well as attending a Q&A session with the conference’s participants.

Apart from Wozniak, SMAC 2015 will also welcome the attendance of leading telecommunications firms such as IBM, MobiFone and the top advisory company KPMG. Their representatives will address how Cloud computing, Big Data and other IT applications can help firms understand consumers better and facilitate business opportunities.

The conference will conclude with a networking dinner this evening, which will prompt Vietnamese entrepreneurs to meet up and share their experiences on implementing technology in business.
