Four veteran bands, Buc Tuong (The Wall), Microwave, PAK, and new band Morning Waits will kick off the first concert at Hai Phong Port Stadium in Haiphong City on Saturday. Next destinations will be Hue (December 6), Danang (December 13), Bien Hoa (December 20), HCMC (December 27), Can Tho (January 3) and Hanoi (January 10).

Popular musician/producer Quoc Trung will be director for the show for the fourth year. He told local media that the program’s theme is Hao khi Dong A (Dong A spirit) as the organizers wish to tell a historical story of the Tran Dynasty to revive the self-reliant spirit and patriotism of local youth.

According to mobile service provider Mobifone as the organizer, the selection criteria are stricter. Instead of choosing popular names, the organizer has opened more chances for young and new talents. Rock bands were also chosen for their new songs and remix of some old songs that are suitable to the theme of the concert.

Each show will start at 4:30 p.m. to spare some time for audiences to enjoy foods and beverages and performances of new rock talents. The major part will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets to six live shows have the same price of VND40,000. All the proceeds from ticket sales will be granted to the HCMC-based Operation Smile Foundation, Tam Long Viet Foundation of Vietnam Television and scholarship funds for hard and studious students at the venues where the concerts take place.

The proceeds from RockStorm 2011, 2012 and 2013 were VND6 billion for charity activities. For further information about the show.
